Port Stephens may be one of the best places you’ve probably never heard of. It’s home to some of the most beautiful and uncrowded beaches in the country. There’s a huge permanent population of bottlenose dolphins living in one of the bays so you can spot them all year round. It has enormous sand dunes that are perfect for sandboarding. And it’s home to Mount Tomaree where a short hike to the top gives you some of the most spectacular views of Australia’s East Coast. Plus there’s plenty of other Aussie Wildlife to spot: kangaroos, koalas, goanas, kookaburras and more!
Wrap up a perfect day at this idyllic seaside town with an Aussie BBQ including delicious kangaroo meat, plus vegetarian options, before we had back to the hustle and bustle of Sydney.
